Oh boy, how I met this man I would one day call my husband.

Well I was seated in the rear of my best friend car and we were sitting at a red light. I felt this thump and when I looked behind me there he was on his motorcycle. It was in the month of June so it was extremely hot outside this day!

So we all got out of the car and there he was taking off his bike gear. I’m thinking it’s hot as hell out here and you have on all this leather gear, scully under his helmet, gloves and long pants. He instantly starts claiming to be able to fix her car because he’s a mechanic and there isn’t much damage anyways. So I said to him well what about the damage to my personal body and where’s your insurance information please? He started laughing at me and called me “facety”. I was instantly infused because I felt he was making fun of me. So then he said “don’t worry yourself baby ”Mi ah go tek care of yah”. (Instant melt!) I’m thinking aaawww he sounds so cute and sincere but I didn’t show any regards to his statement.

Once my best friend realized he was serious, here she goes ok mister give me your name, drivers license and number I’ll call you later. The entire time I’m steadfast with running my mouth to this man we now know to be “Pablo” about how he could have hurt us not paying attention or even himself and who gave him his bikers license (Kmart)? He just laughed the entire time. Before returning to the car he said to me well if your girl doesn’t call me can I call you? Of course being a smartass said I don’t have a phone and he said no problem here’s my number you call me.

Pablo and I went out that evening.(I know what you’re thinking). It was the funniest thing! On our first date is where he said to me I would one day be his wife. I was a little freaked out at first because I started to think like I’m with a stalker/ murderer but he was very genuine about what he wanted and he meant it.

In the days and months that passed we actually spent a lot time together growing closer to one another. Not to mention the morning breakfasts with milo tea and the evenings filled with cooked food by the man himself helped influence me.

However,life took us in many different directions. We’ve both been faced with many trials/tribulations that separated us over the past 11 years but we never really left one another.

For whatever the reason was we were always able to communicate overtime and not to mention he was my mechanic even when he didn’t want to be. Well he actually went to the car dealership with me to purchase my vehicle it was only right that he be my lifetime warranty right? I’ve personally grown from our past and the path that we’re on today feels so right for me. I know that he LOVES me even when we’re angry with one another.

The little things that used to bother me about him are missed if I don’t see them. He has become my best friend, confidant, lover and partner in every way.

I’ve personally ran from this feeling for so many years because of my fears and unwillingness to relinquish any control over me or my heart. Let me say this friends and family although my struggles are at a minimum today this feels AWESOME!!!!!!
